KISS Symphony: Alive IV
KISS Symphony: Alive IV is a live album from the American rock band, released on 22 July 2003 through Sanctuary Records. It is the fourth record in their Alive series and the fifth live album of their career, and it was the first release under Kiss Records and Sanctuary.
What sets it apart from the earlier Alive albums is the company on stage. KISS play alongside the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, with arrangements by David Campbell, who also conducted the orchestra. That gives the band's hard rock songs a larger, more dramatic frame, and it makes the record a curious companion to the raw live sets that made the series' name. If you like hearing familiar material reworked on a grander scale, it is well worth a spin.
