Album
Asylum
Asylum is the thirteenth studio album by the American rock band Kiss, released on 16 September 1985 through Mercury Records. It follows Animalize from 1984 and carries on with the glam metal sound of that record, keeping the band firmly in the polished, big-hair style of the mid-eighties.
In the band's story, it sits between Animalize and Crazy Nights (1987), part of a run of albums made after the group had moved on from their earliest years. If you enjoy Kiss at their most glam-leaning, with hard rock and heavy metal edges, this is a good record to hear alongside its predecessor and see how they carried the sound forward.
