Freaky Styley is the second studio album by Red Hot Chili Peppers, released on 16 August 1985 through EMI America. It marked the studio debut of founding guitarist Hillel Slovak, who had rejoined the band earlier that year, and it was the last record to feature drummer Cliff Martinez. George Clinton of Parliament-Funkadelic produced it, and the band benefited from his rapport in the studio.

The music blends funk, punk rock and psychedelic rock, while the lyrics draw on the members' lives in Hollywood. "Jungle Man" and "Hollywood (Africa)" went out as promotional singles, and "Catholic School Girls Rule" and "Jungle Man" both got videos. Critics saw it as a step up from the debut, praising its experimentation and production. It missed the Billboard 200, but it's the record where the Peppers' funk roots first found a proper guide.
