Red Hot Chili Peppers

Red Hot Chili Peppers are an American rock band who formed in Los Angeles in 1982. Anthony Kiedis (vocals), Flea (bass), Chad Smith (drums) and John Frusciante (guitar) make up the current line-up. Their sound blends funk, punk, hard rock, hip-hop and psychedelic rock, and it has fed into funk metal, rap rock and nu metal. They have sold over 120 million records and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.

The band's first big commercial success was Blood Sugar Sex Magik in 1991. Californication followed in 1999, when Frusciante returned, and it remains their biggest seller at 16 million copies. By the Way and Stadium Arcadium came next, the latter becoming their first number one on the Billboard 200. Frusciante rejoined again in 2019, and the band released Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen in 2022.
