Live Rare Remix Box
Live Rare Remix Box is a compilation box set from Red Hot Chili Peppers, released on 24 February 1994 through Warner Bros. Records. It spreads across three CDs, each named for what it holds: Live, Rare and Remix. Together they gather the B-sides from all five singles taken from Blood Sugar Sex Magik, the band's hugely successful 1991 album.
For anyone who wore out that record, this is a handy way to hear the band pulling it in different directions, from stage performances to alternative versions and reworkings. It sits between Blood Sugar Sex Magik and the follow-up, One Hot Minute, which arrived in 1995, so it catches the group in a pause between two chapters. Worth tracking down if you want more from the Blood Sugar era than the album itself.
