Greatest Hits
Greatest Hits is a Red Hot Chili Peppers compilation released on 18 November 2003 by Warner Bros. Records. It gathers material from the band's Warner Bros. years, 1991 to 2002, a stretch that takes in Blood Sugar Sex Magik, One Hot Minute, Californication and By the Way. The one exception is their cover of "Higher Ground", which comes from outside that run.
Alongside the familiar singles, the collection adds two newly recorded songs, which gave long-time listeners something fresh to pick up. A separate DVD, sold on its own, collected most of the band's videos from the same period. Some European markets received the album with Copy Control protection, though the US edition did not. It makes a handy single-disc route through the band's most successful decade.
