Album
Sacred Heart
Sacred Heart is the third studio album from American heavy metal band Dio, released in August 1985 on Warner Bros. Records in North America, with Vertigo handling the rest of the world. It follows Holy Diver (1983) and The Last in Line (1984), and it closes the first chapter of the band's story as the last record to feature guitarist Vivian Campbell.
The album spans heavy metal and hard rock, and it produced two singles, "Rock 'n' Roll Children" and "Hungry for Heaven". It climbed to No. 29 on the Billboard 200. For anyone tracing the band's early run, it is the final studio recording of that line-up, and a good place to hear Campbell's playing before Dio moved on to Dream Evil in 1987.
