Diamonds: The Best of Dio is a compilation from the heavy metal band Dio, released on Vertigo in June 1992. It gathers highlights from the group's catalogue to that point, and it came out internationally without ever getting a release in the US, which makes it something of an oddity for collectors on that side of the Atlantic.

It arrived between Lock Up the Wolves in 1990 and Strange Highways in 1993, so it sums up the band's first era just before the next studio chapter. For anyone who knows Ronnie James Dio's band only by name, the studio run from Holy Diver in 1983 onwards is the place to dig deeper, but a hits collection like this is a handy way in. It suits listeners who want the key moments in one sitting.
