Beatles for Sale, No. 2
Beatles for Sale No. 2 is a four-track EP issued on Parlophone on 4 June 1965. It follows the first Beatles for Sale EP, picking up four more songs from the parent album, Beatles for Sale. It came out in mono only, under the catalogue number GEP 8938.
For anyone tracing how the band's music reached listeners in the mid-1960s, it is a neat reminder that an album could be shared out across extra-play releases, giving fans another way in. Australia had its own twist: "Words of Love", already on the earlier EP, was swapped for "Kansas City/Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey". That makes the Australian edition a small variation worth knowing about if you collect the format.
