Tomorrow Never Knows
Tomorrow Never Knows is a Beatles compilation released digitally through the iTunes Store on 24 July 2012. It was put together to show how far the band's influence reached across rock music, gathering a run of their most influential rock songs in one place. The title comes from the closing track of Revolver, which sits as the thirteenth song here.
It arrived long after the group's story had ended, with John Lennon having died in 1980 and George Harrison in 2001. A physical version was also made, but only as a press-only promotional copy limited to 1,000 discs. For listeners, it works as a rock-focused route into the catalogue, putting the harder-edged side of the Beatles front and centre rather than the gentler pop of their early years.
