1967–1970
1967–1970, often called the Blue Album, is a double LP compilation from the Beatles, released on 2 April 1973 on Apple Records. It gathers songs from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band through to Let It Be, with a good number of the singles issued in between. It arrived alongside its companion, 1962–1966, the Red Album.
Both sets were put together in response to a bootleg collection, Alpha Omega, which had been sold on television the year before, and the adverts billed them as the only authorised collection of the band. Allen Klein, Apple's manager, got the project going. The Blue Album topped the US Billboard chart and reached number 2 in the UK. A CD reissue followed in September 1993, and a deluxe edition on 10 November 2023 added "Now and Then", the group's final original single, with anniversary remixes of the songs.
