Return to the Apocalyptic City
Return to the Apocalyptic City is a live EP from American thrash metal band Testament, released on 2 April 1993 through Atlantic. It arrived between The Ritual, their 1992 studio album, and Low, which followed in 1994, so it catches the band at a point between full-length records.
Most of the tracks were recorded at the Hollywood Palladium. The last two are different. "Reign of Terror" dates from the sessions for The New Order in 1987 and 1988, and although it missed that album, it turned up as a B-side to the single "Trial by Fire". The closer, "Return to Serenity", is an edited single version of a song from The Ritual. For fans, it's a handy mix of stage energy and a few studio rarities.
