Signs of Chaos: The Best of Testament

Popularity19.9

Signs of Chaos: The Best of Testament is a compilation released on 4 November 1997 through Mayhem. It gathers material from the thrash metal band's years on Atlantic Records, making it a handy overview of the early part of their career.

The extra pull for fans is a pair of covers that had only appeared as B-sides on the 1994 CD single "Dog Faced Gods": Scorpions' "The Sails of Charon" and Aerosmith's "Draw the Line". It also includes "Demonic Refusal", taken from Demonic, their newest album at the time. A later collection, The Very Best of Testament, follows a similar plan, but this is the one to reach for if you want those rarities alongside the Atlantic-era highlights.
