Beast over Hammersmith is a live Iron Maiden album, released on 4 November 2002. It was recorded twenty years earlier at the Hammersmith Odeon, during The Beast on the Road tour, and Steve Harris and Doug Hall co-produced and mixed it for the Eddie's Archive box set. The show was captured just two days before The Number of the Beast reached shops, so the new songs were still brand new to the crowd, although "Run to the Hills" was already out as a single.
It's a snapshot of the band at the start of their rise. The video footage was held back at the time because the lighting made it look poor, though an abridged version later appeared on The History of Iron Maiden – Part 1: The Early Days in 2004. The album also marked the last Iron Maiden release with cover art by Derek Riggs, and it finally reached vinyl in November 2022.
