Live!! + One
Live!! +one is a live EP by Iron Maiden, first issued in Japan only, with a release date of December 1980. It was recorded at the Marquee Club in London on 4 July 1980, and EMI put it out. It sits right at the start of the band's story, in the same year as their self-titled debut album and before Killers arrived in 1981.
The EP's main appeal is its rarity. "Sanctuary" and "Drifter" were never released anywhere else, while the other two tracks later turned up as B-sides on singles. "Drifter" and "Phantom of the Opera" also featured in a 1981 London Weekend Television documentary, "Twentieth Century Box". A Greek reissue in 1984 expanded the track listing, though only "I've Got the Fire" came from the Marquee show.
