A Real Dead One
A Real Dead One is a live album from Iron Maiden, though it is listed as an EP. It was recorded at concerts across Europe on the Fear of the Dark Tour in 1992 and the Real Live Tour in 1993, and came out in October 1993 on EMI. Derek Riggs, the band's long-serving artist, drew the cover, which shows Eddie as a disc jockey in Hell.
It is the older-material half of a pair. Where its companion, A Real Live One, sticks to songs from after Powerslave, this one covers the band's earliest years, from 1975 up to the Powerslave era in 1984. "Hallowed Be Thy Name" was released as a single and reached No. 9 on the UK singles chart. In 1998 the two records were joined as the double set A Real Live Dead One.
