Paris
Paris is a live album from The Cure, recorded at the Zénith de Paris in October 1992 during the tour for their album Wish. The band announced it in July 1993, and it came out on 25 October 1993 on Fiction.
It arrived alongside Show, a companion concert record taped in the United States, so fans could set a Paris night against an American one. That kind of double release suited a band with a famously unconventional way of doing things. If you know Wish and want to hear how its songs and the band's wider catalogue sounded in front of a French crowd, this is a good place to start. It sits between Wish and Wild Mood Swings in their story, capturing the group at the close of a long touring cycle.
