Bestival Live 2011 captures The Cure on stage at the Bestival music festival in September 2011. The English band's set was released as a live album in December 2011, and it was the first live record they had put out since Paris, which came out in 1993. That made it a long-awaited addition to a catalogue that stretches from Three Imaginary Boys in 1979 to the later studio work of 4:13 Dream in 2008.

The recording sits across alternative rock, new wave, post-punk and pop rock, the mix that has always defined the band. It also has a good cause behind it: every penny of profit from sales went to the Isle of Wight Youth Trust. For anyone who has followed the group through the decades, it offers a festival-night snapshot of where they stood in 2011.
