Neighborhoods

Neighborhoods is the sixth studio album by blink-182, released on 26 September 2011 through DGC Records. It arrived eight years after their untitled 2003 record, the longest gap between albums in the band's career. In that time the trio had split into side projects after a 2005 hiatus, then reunited in late 2008 following two tragedies connected to the band and their circle. It was the last album to feature Tom DeLonge until his return on 2023's One More Time...

The recording stretched over two years. With longtime producer Jerry Finn gone, the band self-produced, working separately in two California studios, and the lack of contact left its mark on the music. Their pop-punk sound is joined here by synthesiser-heavy, progressive touches, while the lyrics dwell on isolation, confusion and death. The title nods to their differing creative styles, each like its own area of a city. It reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and "Up All Night" and "After Midnight" were the singles.
