’74 Jailbreak
'74 Jailbreak is AC/DC's only EP, released by Atlantic on 15 October 1984. It gathers five tracks that had until then appeared only in Australia, giving listeners elsewhere a first proper look at some early material from the band.
The title is slightly misleading. "Jailbreak" itself was recorded in 1976 and first came out that year on the Australian edition of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. The other four songs come from the Australian version of the debut, High Voltage, recorded in 1974 and released early the following year. "Jailbreak" was issued as a single with a music video alongside the EP, and the whole set was reissued worldwide in 2003 in the AC/DC Remasters series.
