High Voltage is where AC/DC's recording story begins: the Australian hard rock band's debut studio album, released on Albert Productions on 17 February 1975. It came out only in Australia and New Zealand, so listeners elsewhere did not hear it in this form.

That is the catch when tracking it down. The band's first international release, in 1976, also carried the title High Voltage, but with a radically different track list. The two are easy to mix up. This is the original, a blend of hard rock, blues rock and straight-ahead rock and roll, and it was followed the same year by T.N.T., the first step on the road to Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap and beyond. Worth hearing for the band at the very start.
