EP
Worm Infested
Worm Infested is an EP by the American death metal band Cannibal Corpse, released through Metal Blade Records on 29 October 2002. It arrived in the same year as their eighth studio album, Gore Obsessed, and sits between that record and The Wretched Spawn, which followed in 2004.
By then the band had been going since 1988, when they formed in Buffalo, New York, before settling in Tampa, Florida. Bassist Alex Webster and drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz, the two constants through every line-up change, were still at the heart of the group. For anyone following Cannibal Corpse through the early 2000s, it is a short stopover in a catalogue that grew steadily from the cult following built around Butchered at Birth and Tomb of the Mutilated.
