Album
Red Before Black
Red Before Black is Cannibal Corpse's fourteenth studio album, released on 3 November 2017 through Metal Blade Records. It followed A Skeletal Domain in 2014 and sits in the band's catalogue of brutal death metal, a style they had been playing since Eaten Back to Life in 1990.
It also marks the last album to feature guitarist Pat O'Brien. Producer Erik Rutan officially took his place in 2021, and Violence Unimagined, the next record, arrived that same year. For anyone tracing how the American band's line-up changed over the years, this is the final chapter of one particular era, and a good place to hear that version of the group before the shift.
