Torture
Torture is the twelfth studio album by Cannibal Corpse, the American death metal band, and it was released in March 2012. It follows Evisceration Plague from 2009 and sits in the middle of a long run of records that stretches from Eaten Back to Life in 1990 to Chaos Horrific in 2023.
The album was recorded at Sonic Ranch Studios and produced by Erik Rutan, the Hate Eternal guitarist who was once a member of Morbid Angel. That pairing of a band with a death metal player behind the desk is a good reason to seek it out. It entered the US Billboard 200 at number 38, selling 9,600 copies in its first week, which tells you the band's following was still firmly in place more than twenty years into their career.
