Evisceration Plague
Evisceration Plague is the eleventh studio album by the American death metal band Cannibal Corpse, released in February 2009. It followed Kill from 2006 and came before Torture in 2012, so it sits in the middle of the band's long run of records, which began with Eaten Back to Life in 1990.
The album was recorded at Mana Recording Studios and produced by Erik Rutan, the Hate Eternal guitarist. It entered the US Billboard 200 at number 66, selling 9,600 copies in its first week. For anyone following the band's story, it is a useful snapshot of Cannibal Corpse nearly two decades in, still turning out brutal, uncompromising death metal with a player from the genre's own ranks behind the desk.
