The Bleeding is the fourth studio album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse, released in April 1994 on Metal Blade Records. It was recorded at Morrisound Recording in Tampa and produced by Scott Burns. It marks the end of an era for the band: it is the last record with founding vocalist Chris Barnes and the first with guitarist Rob Barrett.

The sound is more groove-driven than on the three albums before it, with straighter song structures and real hooks. Barnes also enunciates far more clearly than before, and the mix gives plenty of space to Alex Webster's bass. The lyrics still deal with sexual violence, though some songs lean towards psychological horror. Most publications rank it among the band's finest work, and it remains their most successful album. "Staring Through the Eyes of the Dead" and "Stripped, Raped and Strangled" are still live staples.
