Album
Gallery of Suicide
Gallery of Suicide is the sixth studio album by the American death metal band Cannibal Corpse, released on 21 April 1998 through Metal Blade Records. It followed Vile from 1996 and came before Bloodthirst in 1999, placing it right in the middle of the band's long run of records for the label.
It is worth hearing as a moment of change. This is the first Cannibal Corpse album to feature guitarist Pat O'Brien, who had previously played in Nevermore. It is also the last the band recorded at Morrisound Recordings in Tampa, the studio they had used since their 1990 debut, Eaten Back to Life. For anyone tracing the group's sound through the decade, it marks the end of one chapter and the start of another.
