Cannibal Corpse

Cannibal Corpse are an American death metal band who formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1988 and are now based in Tampa, Florida. Bassist Alex Webster and drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz have been there throughout, while the line-up around them has shifted over the years. Today it also features vocalist George Fisher and guitarists Rob Barrett and Erik Rutan.

Radio and television have barely touched them, yet a cult following grew from their early records. Butchered at Birth and Tomb of the Mutilated are the ones to start with, alongside The Bleeding and the debut, Eaten Back to Life. Sixteen studio albums have followed since 1990, the latest being Chaos Horrific in 2023. Violence Unimagined, from 2021, gave them their first Top 10 on the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart. They are often described as the most popular and influential band in death metal.
