Dismember

Dismember are a death metal band from Stockholm, formed in 1988. They count among the pioneers of the Swedish scene and are usually grouped with Entombed, Grave and Unleashed as the country's "big four". Their sound sits in death metal, with melodic touches that show up across their catalogue.

Their debut, Like an Ever Flowing Stream, arrived in 1991 and remains the record most people start with. Indecent & Obscene followed in 1993, then Massive Killing Capacity in 1995 and Death Metal in 1997. Those four are the albums fans return to most. Later releases include Hate Campaign, Where Ironcrosses Grow, The God That Never Was and a self-titled album in 2008. The band split in 2011 and reunited in 2019.
