Death Metal is the fourth studio album by Swedish death metal band Dismember, released on 8 August 1997 through Nuclear Blast. It followed Massive Killing Capacity from 1995 and came ahead of Hate Campaign in 2000, so it sits right in the middle of the band's run of eight studio albums.

The title says plainly what the band were about, and the record sticks to that brief. One detail worth listening out for is the fourth track, "Let The Napalm Rain", which opens with a sample from the film Apocalypse Now before the band kick in. It's a good place to start if you want to hear how Dismember sounded in the late 1990s, and a handy one for anyone tracing the group's path from their early-nineties albums to their later work.
