Kingdoms Disdained
Kingdoms Disdained is the ninth studio album by American death metal band Morbid Angel, released on 1 December 2017. It follows 2011's Illud Divinum Insanus and arrived after a significant reshuffle: David Vincent, Destructhor and Tim Yeung had all left in 2015.
The big talking point is the return of Steve Tucker, who had last appeared on 2003's Heretic. Drummer Scott Fuller, previously of Abysmal Dawn, played on this record and no other in the band's catalogue. For anyone tracing the group's story, it marks a turn back towards the line-up that made their early-2000s work, and the video for "Garden of Disdain" is a good place to start.
