Album
Heaven Upside Down
Heaven Upside Down is the tenth studio album by Marilyn Manson, released on 6 October 2017 through Loma Vista Recordings and Caroline International. It began life under the working title Say10 and was meant to arrive on Valentine's Day, but a run of delays pushed it back, among them the death of Manson's father, Hugh Warner, during production. The record is dedicated to him. Producer Tyler Bates and drummer Gil Sharone return from The Pale Emperor, though bassist Twiggy Ramirez does not appear.
It follows that 2015 record as part of what several reviewers saw as a creative revival, and it did well: number eight on the Billboard 200 and a first UK top ten studio album since 2003's The Golden Age of Grotesque. "Kill4Me" became the band's highest-peaking entry on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart, and "Tattooed in Reverse" joined it there. Videos featured Johnny Depp, Courtney Love and Lisa Marie Presley.
