Lunch Boxes & Choklit Cows
Lunch Boxes & Choklit Cows is a compilation of demo recordings made in the early 1990s, when Marilyn Manson were still performing as Marilyn Manson & The Spooky Kids. It came out on Empire Musicwerks on 20 April 2004, and most of its tracks are either demos or material that had never been released before.
It reached listeners through original guitarist Scott Putesky, who performs as "Daisy Berkowitz". He gained the rights to these recordings, plus 11 others, through a lawsuit against Brian Warner, and presented the set as the first in a planned series of Spooky Kids CDs. The tracks are digitally remastered, and Putesky says they sound better than the old cassettes. The first pressing included a bonus DVD and cover cartoons of the band drawn by Manson. After a further lawsuit, both were dropped and the CD was reissued with a plainer cover. Original copies are now a collector's find.
