Scream Above the Sounds is the tenth studio album by Welsh rock band Stereophonics, released on 27 October 2017 through Parlophone Records. Kelly Jones, the band's singer and guitarist, produced it with Jim Lowe, keeping the record's direction in the hands of the people closest to the songs.
It arrived two years after Keep the Village Alive and two years before Kind, a stretch in which the band kept up a steady run of albums in the indie rock and rock vein they had worked since Word Gets Around in 1997. For anyone who knows the early records and wants to hear how the band sounded twenty years on, with Jones at the controls, this is a good place to catch up.
