Language. Sex. Violence. Other? is the fifth studio album by Stereophonics, released in March 2005. It follows You Gotta Go There to Come Back, and the two records before it had leaned towards acoustic textures and a mellower mood. Here the band went back to the harder, more abrasive alternative rock and indie sound they were known for. Kelly Jones wrote the songs while touring the previous album, and he produced the record with Jim Lowe.

"Doorman" and "Brother" are among the band's most aggressive songs, and there's a new wave influence running through the record too. The first single, "Dakota", became their biggest UK hit and reached number one. The album also went to number one in the UK, selling over 100,000 copies in its first week, and the British music press received it more warmly than its predecessors.
