Album
Europe
Europe's self-titled debut arrived on 14 March 1983 on Hot Records. It introduced the Swedish band to the world as a hard rock outfit, and it stands at the very start of a studio catalogue that now runs to a dozen albums.
For anyone who knows the group mainly through The Final Countdown, this is the record to go back to. It comes three years before that breakthrough and sits ahead of Wings of Tomorrow, which followed in 1984. Hearing it means hearing where the band began, before the later records and the long career that followed.
