Secret Society
Secret Society is the seventh studio album by the Swedish rock band Europe, released on 25 October 2006. It arrived two years after Start From the Dark, the record that marked the band's return after a long gap following 1991's Prisoners in Paradise, and it sits in the middle of the run of albums they have made since reforming.
Where its predecessor was raw and made a point of announcing the band's comeback, this one aims to be more melodic. Vocalist Joey Tempest has said Start From the Dark felt like a debut in a way, so the band wanted to branch out and take things to new levels here. He also called it one of the strongest albums Europe have made. It is a hard rock record, and a good place to hear the group moving beyond the sound of The Final Countdown.
