B-Sides & Rarities
B-Sides & Rarities is an EP from Machine Head, released on 29 October 2012 through Roadrunner Records. As the title suggests, it gathers material from outside the band's main studio albums, making it a companion piece for anyone who already knows the records.
It arrived between Unto the Locust, which came out in 2011, and Bloodstone & Diamonds in 2014, so it fits into a stretch when the Oakland group were already deep into a catalogue that began with Burn My Eyes in 1994. For listeners who have followed the band from that debut through The Blackening and beyond, it offers a chance to hear them away from the album format.
