The Black Procession
The Black Procession is a live EP from American heavy metal band Machine Head, released on 16 April 2011 through Roadrunner Records. It came out as a limited 10" vinyl pressing to mark Record Store Day, which makes it very much a collector's item for anyone who likes to hunt through the racks.
The three tracks had not been released before. All were recorded in 2010 on the Black Procession Tour, which supported The Blackening, the band's most recent studio album at that point. It sits between that record and Unto the Locust, which arrived later the same year, so it catches Machine Head on stage at the end of one chapter and just before the next. A neat keepsake for fans of the band's live show.
