The More Things Change… is the second album from American heavy metal band Machine Head, released in March 1997 on Roadrunner Records. It followed their 1994 debut, Burn My Eyes, and sits firmly in the groove and thrash side of metal. The title nods to the old saying about change and sameness, a line that also turns up in the chorus of "Struck a Nerve".

It is a record of transition for the band. It was the last to feature original guitarist Logan Mader and the first with drummer Dave McClain, who brought a new weight behind the kit. It reached number 138 on the Billboard 200, and Metal Hammer later placed it among the twenty best metal albums of 1997. For anyone tracing how Machine Head found their feet after that first record, this is the place to start.
