Album
Low
Low is the sixth studio album from American thrash metal band Testament, released in October 1994 on Atlantic Records. It followed The Ritual from 1992 and arrived with a reshaped line-up: guitarist James Murphy stepped in for Alex Skolnick, and drummer John Tempesta replaced Louie Clemente.
It also marks a point of change for the rhythm section's story. Bassist Greg Christian played on it, then left the band, and he did not return until The Formation of Damnation in 2008. For anyone following Testament through their long career, Low is the record where the band's personnel shifted most noticeably, and it is worth hearing as a snapshot of thrash metal played by a new-look group in the mid-nineties.
