Death Row
Death Row is the tenth studio album by the German heavy metal band Accept, released on 1 October 1994 through RCA. It was recorded at Roxx Studios in Pulheim, Germany, and arrived a year after Objection Overruled, with Predator following in 1996 before the band's long gap ahead of Blood of the Nations in 2010.
The line-up story is worth knowing. Stefan Kaufmann was still the official drummer, but the liner notes credit Stefan Schwarzmann with the drumming on "Bad Habits Die Hard" and "Prejudice". Kaufmann had to step away from the band for the tour that followed because of health problems, and Schwarzmann took over behind the kit. For fans following the band's traditional heavy metal sound through the 1990s, it is a record that catches Accept in a moment of change.
