Eat the Heat is the eighth studio album by German heavy metal band Accept, released on 11 May 1989 through Epic. It was recorded at Dierks Studios in Cologne between September 1988 and January 1989, and it stands alone in the band's catalogue as the only record with American vocalist David Reece. Until Blood of the Nations in 2010, it was also the one Accept album without Udo Dirkschneider at the microphone.

The line-up lists Jim Stacey on rhythm guitar, yet the credits state that Wolf Hoffmann played every guitar part on the record. Stacey did handle second guitar when the band played live. Dirkschneider still has a presence here, adding crowd vocals to "Turn the Wheel", and his own band U.D.O. regularly play songs from the album, "X-T-C" among them. That makes it a curious, distinctive chapter in the Accept story.
