Album
The Rise of Chaos
The Rise of Chaos is the fifteenth studio album by the German heavy metal band Accept, released on 4 August 2017 through Nuclear Blast. It is rooted in traditional heavy metal and arrived as the band's fourth album in a row with producer Andy Sneap, following Blood of the Nations, Stalingrad and Blind Rage.
It is a record of changes in the ranks. Guitarist Uwe Lulis and drummer Christopher Williams make their first appearance with the band, taking over from Herman Frank and Stefan Schwarzmann. It also marks the last studio outing for bassist Peter Baltes, who left in November 2018. Guitarist Wolf Hoffmann has said the title points to the chaos humans have brought upon the world. For anyone following Accept's later chapter, this is a useful snapshot of a line-up in transition.
