Happy Hour!
Happy Hour! is a compilation from the American punk band the Offspring, released on 4 August 2010 through Concord Records. It was made for Japan, which makes it the first Offspring record not issued in America. It gathers material from roughly fifteen years of their career, mixing live versions and remixes with soundtrack contributions and assorted B-sides.
The live and remixed tracks are drawn from Smash, Ixnay on the Hombre, Americana, Conspiracy of One and Splinter, though nothing from 2008's Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace appears. The real draw is the run of covers, which takes in the Buzzcocks, Iggy & The Stooges, T.S.O.L., Billy Roberts and AC/DC. It's a good place to hear the band's pop-punk and skate punk roots, and the records they loved, laid out side by side.
