Whipped!
Whipped! is the third studio album from Faster Pussycat, the American band whose glam metal and hard rock sound also takes in touches of alternative rock. It came out on 4 August 1992 on Elektra, following their self-titled debut in 1987 and Wake Me When It's Over in 1989. It was the last record they made until The Power & the Glory Hole in 2006.
The single "Nonstop to Nowhere" reached No. 35 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart and had a video to go with it. "Mr. Lovedog" is a tribute to Andrew Wood, the Mother Love Bone singer who died in 1990. Two songs from the sessions, "Too Tight" and "Charge Me Up", were left off and surfaced on the Belted, Buckled and Booted EP. The album has two cover variants: one shows the band fleeing a giant dominatrix, the other zooms in so they seem simply to be running along a beach. Vinyl pressings appeared in Europe and parts of Asia, but not in the US.
