Between the Valley of the Ultra Pussy
Between the Valley of the Ultra Pussy is a remix album from Faster Pussycat, released on 15 May 2001 through Deadline Music. It takes songs from the band's late 1980s and early 1990s records and reworks them in an industrial style, turning hard rock numbers into something colder and more mechanical.
The release followed the band's reunion for a tour in 2001. Singer Taime Downe had long favoured industrial rock and had been recording in that vein since the group split, so the album feels like his own taste finally steering the catalogue. It sits between the band's early run of studio albums and their later return with The Power & the Glory Hole in 2006. It's worth hearing if you know the originals and fancy a very different take on them.
