The Power & the Glory Hole
The Power & the Glory Hole is the fourth studio album by Faster Pussycat, released on 13 July 2006 on Full Effect Records. It followed Whipped! from 1992, so it marked a return to the studio after a long gap, and it arrived with a changed band: singer Taime Downe was the only member left from the earlier albums.
The songs set industrial rock alongside the group's familiar sound, giving the record a harder, more modern edge than its predecessors. One track, "Bye Bye Bianca", pays tribute to the band Betty Blowtorch, and Downe invited fans to send in audio clips of their own farewells to "Bianca Butthole" for it. That fan-made touch makes it a good place to start for anyone curious about how the band sounded after its original line-up had gone.
