Ignition is the second studio album by the American punk rock band the Offspring, released on 25 September 1992 on Epitaph Records. It arrived in the thick of the alternative rock and grunge years, and it won the band a modest but growing following in Southern California.

It sits between their 1989 self-titled debut and Smash (1994), the record that took that local momentum much further. Ignition was certified gold on 22 January 1996 and has sold over a million copies worldwide. The band later gave it fresh life: they played it in full at selected concerts for its 20th anniversary in 2012, and again in 2017 at a benefit for 924 Gilman Street. They also re-recorded "Dirty Magic" for Days Go By. For anyone tracing how the Offspring got from the underground to the mainstream, this is the chapter to hear.
