Album
Experience
Experience is the debut studio album by the English electronic group the Prodigy, released on 28 September 1992 through XL Recordings. It is also known as The Prodigy Experience, and it sits at the very start of a run of studio albums that would continue through Music for the Jilted Generation in 1994 and The Fat of the Land in 1997.
The record is rooted in breakbeat hardcore, with strands of techno, breakbeat and electronica running through it. That makes it a useful snapshot of where the band began, before the big beat sound they later became known for took hold. If you only know the group from their later, heavier records, this is the place to hear how it all started.
